Visiting Friends and Sharing Food

Hi, guys. I’m happy to announce that today I’m “visiting” my friend and fellow writer, Joan Hall, over at her website. We discuss writing, Bleeding Heart, and every Italian’s favorite subject—food. I hope you take a moment and come see what’s going on.

    1. I love eggplant. I also often order it at Italian restaurants, usually because I don’t make it often at home (the family aren’t fans). There’s also an eggplant dish at a Chinese restaurant that I’ve become quite fond of. I wish more people would give it a chance; it’s an under-appreciated food.

    1. Eggplant might be my favorite “vegetable” (because technically it’s a fruit… or it might be a berry; I can’t remember). I can’t believe, given your penchant for gardening, that there’s a vegetable you don’t like! It’s good with zucchini, too. But I think you’ll have to roast the zucchini little longer, especially if it’s a bigger one.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying Bleeding Heart. I’d love to know what you think once you’ve finished it.

  1. That was a fun post, and I loved the recipe. I copied it down and am going to give it a try. What I remember most about growing up Italian was family around the table with lots of good conversation and laughter. Thanks for the smile and congrats on the book! 🙂

    1. That’s pretty much my childhood, too. I even use the phrase, “love and laughter, food and fun” in some of my bios (when I discuss family life). You’ll have to let me know what you think of the eggplant. And thanks for the well-wishes on the novel!
